In 1979, on the way home from a family holiday, I decided not to buy the 7" yellow vinyl copy of The Dickies' Banana Splits single they had in Woolworths. That day, I spent the entire multiple-hour journey home regretting this action and obsessing about how delightful that spinning yellow disc would have sounded on my record player. Yes, it still gnaws at me today. OK, at the time, I was still a few years shy of being a teenager and my pocket money was slight, but it was probably the last time I didn't invest in a piece of music when I desired it. Lesson learnt, always buy what you love.
That's a rather lengthy introduction to Lorenzo Buhne's new single Can't Find The TV Guide, but the connection is that he was a member of The Dickies from 1981, releasing 5 studio albums and 3 live albums with the group. Taken from Lorenzo's forthcoming full-length album, Oznerol Era, Can't Find The TV Guide is one of a collection of tracks created during his tenure as the bassist with The Dickies and Fear, but now lovingly refreshed and remastered.

The track is an upbeat, foot-tapper with amusing lyrics and a refined roll to the rock, so give it a spin and if you like it - BUY it!
