Jeremy Bell - Clap

OK, I have been recommending quite a lot of noisy material lately, so here's something with a comedic touch. This is Jeremy Bell with Clap, an extremely rude, but amusing track using a homemade analog tape scratching device. Jeremy wrote this old school rap song as a way to really showcase his device. As he explains "It is loaded to the gills with scratching, and all of it was done by dragging a magnetic playhead along a "conveyor belt" loop of audio tape (which is how my invention works)."

The recording works brilliantly, there's a constant flow of vocals, beats and sound fx, all thrust at you with frisky playfulness. It is very inventive and, can I say, infectious?
