In their new single Hit The Ground, South Yorkshire's The Strangerz tackle that age-old urge of never wanting to leave your bed and wanting to sleep as close to the floor as possible. We all get that, right? Or is it just a particular quirk of Martha from the band?
Now based in Manchester, this is the band's third release and it is a concise punk romp, largely driven by Martha's terrifically expressive vocals, but underpinned by all the necessary noise elements associated with the genre. The band are made up of a pair of twins (singer Martha and her guitarist brother Thomas) and their housemates (drummer Shannon & bassist Will). The recording ends with a giggle, so the band must be having fun. Let's all join them!
