Strobes by American band A Very Special Episode is a dynamic, head-on collision into a wall of guitar noise and pounding drums. Chaotic yet somehow very orderly, this is noise rock with a strong backbone, all aptly held together with a terrific vocal, one which provides the right balance between obscurity and a hook-line delivery.
Who are A Very Special Episode? They are a trio and claim to be one of the loudest bands in Brooklyn. They have a new album, Freak Me Out, due for release this summer 2023 via Hidden Home Records/EWEL Records. On this form, it looks likely to shred a few speakers over the coming months.
