Idolatry is a collaboration from Ceremony Shadows with Anastasia Poirier and Jakub Jerzy (of the band -ism), artists from the darkwave/coldwave/electronic music scene in Portland (USA). Together they have created an intriguing piece of minimal electronica which fuses together finely selected synth elements with dystopian vocal exchanges. One voice has a glitchy, computational tone; the other is warmer, but still relatively impassive. This is an experimental track which should really appeal to lovers of darker electronic music. Let's hope the collaboration produces more recordings of equal quality, I would certainly like to hear more.
