Baltimore's Talking to Shadows have created a terrific shoegaze track with their latest release Soma. The track deftly shifts, to great effect, between sonic barrages of guitar and passages of Cat Van Glide's beguiling vocals. For lovers of the genre, it provides an impeccable combination.
The band formed in 2018 when Cat Van Glide (vocals) and Ron Weldon (bass) began writing songs together. Soon after, they were joined by Gregoire Palmer (guitar) and Alex Hughes (drums). Soma is taken from the band's forthcoming EP 'Lost', which is scheduled for release in June.
