Zuneg & The Doom Choir - If I Should Die

A 140 year-old piano takes centre-stage in this death-laden recording by Zuneg and The Doom Choir. It makes you wonder what tunes, over the years, have been hammered out on its keyboard? I suspect nothing quite as experimental and absorbing as If I Should Die. The track takes trip-hop and mangles it into a spooky requiem, complete with extreme vocals provided by The Doom Choir, members of which include Aaron Shipp, Aaron Skouge (Stronghold) and René Gosch (Sick Girl). The result is a wonderfully off-kilter, gothic recording which almost creaks across the floorboards as you listen.
