Many years ago I used to know a Ninja. I also knew a Judo-Man, a Professor, a Buddha, a Jesus and an dynamo of a lead singer with a name that translated from Japanese to something to do with prawns? That does not have a lot to do with Gaylips' latest track Ninjas Don't Cry - 2023, but I am just proving that I have some knowledge of the subject matter. The Japanese ninja I knew, once had his (fake) samurai sword bent by an inebriated member of the audience at a gig at TJ's in Eastbourne. He was sad and maybe a little bit angry, but I can confirm that my ninja didn't cry. That shows that Gaylips are right on the yen with that statement, they are also right on the money with this shuffling, beat-led tune with a chanty hook so big that it casts shadows. Thank you Gaylips for reminding me about my ninja.
