TV Death - Dr Bloodmoney

Ever since my hamsterdance therapy, I can never really pass on a video featuring men in white lab coats without feeling like I have helped corrupt a generation. That's one reason to recommend TV Death's Dr Bloodmoney, the other main reason is that the music itself packs a pleasing wallop of noise, veering between maniacal and full-bodied, in one explosive swoop. Newcastle’s TV Death are psychedelic punks with a strong sense of identity, they appear to be a touch off-the-wall, which is something to embrace (maybe from afar?). The song itself, they say, is "Inspired by Philip K Dick’s fictional story of the creator of the nuclear bomb ‘Dr Bloodmoney’s narrative is written from the perspective of a megalomaniac leader threatening the world with nuclear destruction".

With their latest EP The God, The One and The Devil, the band aim to showcase the horrors of society. With that thought in mind, we seem to have returned to the point where I started.
