It is about time I recommended something with a techno feel and there's no better label to highlight than R&S Records with an adventurous new single by Vromm called Horizon. The track is an intriguing mix of old school techno, contemporary glitch and resonant, mangled sax which sometimes reminded me of the Blade Runner soundtrack. With an arrangement that's always twisting and turning, there's some lovely deep bass and a spiralling swathe of sound wrapped around some fondly remembered hard beats and bleeps. Sorted!
