Phoenix-based, electronic alt-pop trio, Forts, provide a stylish and classy slab of industrial noise with their new single Roman Circus. Mary Clare Clemons' vocals are equally silky and feisty, working well with the abrasive and punchy instrumentation. In particular, the final segment shows a more experimental and playful side to the band, as they drift away from the song's core structure. That helps set them aside from other bands working within the realms of a rock and electronic hybrid. Top marks for the big synths and percussive details, too.
