Till Sunday Pirate - The New Civilization

Hey! Don't you think it is about time to dust off the old didgeridoo and give it a jolly good blow before the year is out? Indeed, that's what Renato Oliveira a.k.a. Till Sunday Pirate has done with the marvellous new release The New Civilization. For me, this tune is an instant winner, I have had it on repeat for the last half an hour and I hear something slightly different each time I play it. That's a delight, always aim to avoid the mundane.

Till Sunday Pirate is a one-man band from Portugal, he places the didgeridoo, the tubular Aboriginal wind instrument, at the core of his performances, but as you will hear with The New Civilization he also incorporates a whole host of other elements - accordion, space-age synths, jungle beats, dub, rattling percussion and even an oddly curveball Vernon Elliott / Ivor The Engine theme type bassoon motif.

About the song Renato says "The song's inspiration emerged from a vision of a world where unity, diversity, and cooperation reign supreme. I wanted to convey the idea of a brighter future, where people come together, embracing their differences and celebrating their unique truths. The song lyrics convey a message of unity, diversity, and cooperation. It emphasizes the idea of a new civilization where people come together, celebrating their differences and finding their own truth. The lyrics express a sense of happiness, harmony, and the strength of the new time. The song celebrates the warmth within and around us all, and encourages people to live a bigger dream. It is a positive and uplifting anthem that promotes a sense of belonging and unity."

This is the type of song I love, it is a Pandora's box of tricks and the sentiment is full of positivity as we head towards another year on planet Earth. Pucker!
