With Waterflame's latest recording Clutterfunk 2.2, the first word that came to mind was "jaunty". It also reminded me of some of the early Cuban Boys demos, there's a certain joy in the complete disregard for sounding trendy or trying to appear zeitgeist. The electronic instrumental bubbles along merrily with a robotic, old school computer game feel, then throws in some lovely orchestral augmentations and voice samples. Job done. Hard not to enjoy this.
