I am rounding off 2023 with a track which resonates with the type of year I have had. The track is by Wortklangträume and is entitled Die Stimme aus dem Dunkel (The Voice from the Darkness), a mesmerising German language, spoken word recording with as much gloom as one can fit into a shadow. There's not much detail, but Wortklangträume appears to be a Hanover-based art project combining poetry and spoken word with dark, ambient sound textures. A great way to end the year.
