Relief! That's what I felt upon hearing Boys Will Be Boys by New Zealand's Mayzie for the first time. That's because it had promise, starting with a semi-ominous twang, which then rolls out with a foot-tapping jangle alongside a slightly acidic vocal. All that had me on the edge of my seat, simply holding out for a good chorus - fearing, like may tracks with potential, it would progress into a cold-plate of a whimper. Thankfully, all my fears were easily blown away by a wonderfully, big and brash chorus, which crashes through with all the power of the National Grid on maximum output. Boys Will Be Boys is a terrific thrash of a recording which you could possibly use to dry your hair. Twang with a bang. Certainly give this one a spin.
