Something slightly different for me to recommend today, this is Seattle singer-rapper Paradame with her latest release The Bodysnatchers. The track is an odd mix of styles, slightly hip hop, slightly electro and quite mild in terms of production - but somehow that works everything into an eerie, dream-like pop track. The song signposts the classic science fiction horror story to portray a society where people are "replaced by emotionless duplicates, blindly following the status quo. It illustrates a subtle threat of well-intentioned people completely losing the plot without realizing it, by just going along with a narrative without questioning anything". The video mimics this sentiment with an interesting street-like spin and provides an entertaining watch. Give it a go!
