London-based French duo, Zeropolis, are back with another crunching single. Called Genetic Jail, the track is a muscular and forceful wave of post-punk angst, full of pounding percussion and razor-sharp guitars, which remain fairly relentless throughout. The band say the piece “challenges listeners to question and redefine the factors that shape their sense of self, drawing a parallel between the notion of a ‘family cell’, where people can feel locked, and the ‘blood cells’ that are somehow supposed to define our identity”. Taken from their album 1000 Walls, it is another high-point in the band's impressive output. Grab it from the superb Analogue Trash label.
