I like the honesty from Canadian duo, Menthüll, they openly admit that their latest recording is inspired by New Order. Usually, that would have me reaching for the skip button, but they have done such a fine job with Parade that I am willing to cut them some slack. Actually, "slack" is the polar opposite of how their tune sounds, the music is tight and vibrant, the beats pound out and the influences are deftly upscaled with some chic French language vocals. All that works together to create a catchy, hybrid electro-pop stonker. Magnifique!
