A few years ago, along with long-time friend, Mr Blu, under the moniker Silicon Buddhas, we put out a fun electro tune called Metal Legs. So, when the bleeping, breakbeat recording Ominous Data by California's Synthetix arrived on my new release radar, it was an instant winner. Elements within the track reminded me of our tune and it almost felt like the decomposed remains were upstanding and bopping once again. In truth, Ominous Data is rather more abstract and twitching, but I appreciated all those pulsing blips and so should you.
