Vilify's latest release, The Long Way Through, is an entertaining sonic landscape which involves throat-singing and some wonderful ethnic instrumentation. Alongside the more contemporary beats and tonal dynamics, there are moments of sound reversal and emotive Mongolian vocals, making the production feel like a spiritual take on the Future Sound Of London. The song is targeted as "both a healing release and a call for hope". It certainly works for me. Find it on Vilify's Birds of Galilee album.
