Zeropolis - Dominion

There's big drama in this track by Zeropolis and it is hardly surprising that it opens up their recent album 1000 Walls; which I doubt is a concept album about the number of ice creams their local corner shop can shift, on a summer's day, due to global warming - but you never know? Sorry, I have mentally wandered again.... the track, Dominion, is a fine example of post-punk angst with a terrifically brash approach to the synths. No need to be coy and subtle, whack in the biggest, groaning sounds available and push up all the levels to the max. Reminded me of my old pal, Gary Numan, on one of his many good days. Sonically, Zeropolis are pushing the walls back with this one - using soundwaves as a sort of battering-ram. Oh, yes, another double-thumbs-up for Zeropolis and another triumph for the Analogue Trash label.
