Kaksipäinen Koira - Sixpack Of Instant Death

Helsinki's Kaksipäinen Koira describe themselves as "an exciting new force, blending psychedelia, punk, and garage rock to create a unique sonic experience". Members of the band include Aliisa Keränen (vocals and drums) and Tero Huotari (vocals and guitar), with bassist and vocalist Otto Pekkola joining them for live performances. The band are in some ways a supergroup, as Huotari is known for being the driving force behind Teksti-TV 666, who claim to be Finland's loudest indie rock band. Keränen is also the drummer for Bad Sauna and La La Salama. Supposedly, the two full-time members provides the origin of their name? 'Kaksipäinen Koira' being Finnish for Two-Headed Dog. That's also how their track, Sixpack Of Instant Death, comes across - like a snappy beast with duel personalities, one a biting surf rock ride, the other pulling at the lead with post-punk aggression. At just over two minutes long, there's enough time to get the blood pumping, but not enough time to apply any muzzles. A feisty song with plently of growl.
