Straight out of Tokyo (Japan) come Mea Culpa asking that age-old question Is It Punk Enough? Well, speaking as someone who was around at the time (ok, admittedly, I was quite young), all I can say is that the band have nailed it. That's an affirmative. YES! I am not usually a fan of screamed vocals, but they are performed with such passion that I can almost hear the shredding of laryngeal lips. The guitars get a terrific, finger-bleeding work-out and the whole recording, although lo-fi, is two minutes of triumph. The band are a political, multi-national affair with Japanese, Korean, and American members. The track is lifted from Mea Culpa's new album Is It Punk?
