Lunatraktors - Life, Clay and Everything (featuring Keith Brymer Jones)

Today, I bought a piece of studio pottery in a charity shop. Nothing too ostentatious, just a small pot, but I liked the form and simple colour palette - and recognising it as having been made using the raku process, I appreciated the effort that had gone into making it. That knowledge came from watching many episodes of The Great Pottery Throwdown, a tv programme which stars the emotionally-supercharged, master-potter, Keith Brymer Jones.

My Raku Pot

Then tonight, call it an alignment of the stars or serendipity, I discover a new submission waiting for me from broken folk experimentalists, Lunatraktors featuring Keith (the potter!). On the thought-provoking recording, Keith provides a passionate spoken word monologue celebrating "creative self-transformation, the value of following your heart, and the power of kindness". So, stop what you are doing and give Life, Clay and Everything a spin. Listen to the words and see if they resonate with you. From my perspective, it is a heartfelt release with a strong message.

Now, I'm off to gaze lovingly at that little piece of raku - only blinking well cost £2. Cracking pot! Cracking track!
