More experimental music! This time in the shape of How Your Home Smells from Axxi Oma, an electronic music producer and performer from Kharkiv, Ukraine. In 2022, due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Axxi re-located to Berlin, initially working in theatrical composition before turning her skills to electronic music production. How Your Home Smells is the first release in a series of her new recordings and I love the concept behind the project: the exploration of the emotional concept of Home. To create this track's narrative, Axxi made field recordings of interviews she conducted with other refugees, each person sharing their thoughts about how their homes smelled. A very poignant and thought-provoking approach to music creation, which I applaud. Give it a listen, you know it makes scents! (sorry)
