Ready Atlantic hit the floor running from the very beginning with Underground, a superbly crafted indie synth-pop track. To some extent, the track reminds me of some of the classy electro-pop material which emerged a few years ago embracing the spirit of the 80s, but with the extra facet of a poppy rock slant. The balance of the recording is spot-on, with a splendidly melodic vocal at the forefront providing all the main hooks and the bright instrumentation doing everything it should do in support. The band say the single is an "ode to finding one's community and subculture and embracing one's differences with pride." The tune is certainly one which stands up to repeat plays, a smashing pop production.
