This is certainly the first time I have featured a track from Yemen, but there is a spirited oddness in the combination of Krautrock and Arabic influences in Miss Ballad by Yemen Blues. That is further helped by the wonderfully quirky video which accompanies the release. Once again, due to my ignorance, I have no idea what lyrics are being sung, but the band have created a bright and interesting recording with universal hooks.
