Coming from Scandinavia you would expect something serene and polite, but Swedish noise-act, Strålskyddsinstitutet, throw all those stereotypes into the dumper and then seemingly gob on them (and that's me choosing the polite option). With their new track, Wasteland, it is as if the forests have been cleared and the brutalists have moved in. High-octane and frenzied, the band attack your ears with jack-hammers rather than feathers, only pausing momentarily to offer you some "radiation-free reindeer steaks". This is wonderful music vandalism with a cockeyed laugh. Great fun.
