Montreal's Chicago Boys (brush that over!) return to unleash another classic understatement with their latest recording '(No) Hooks' - which they say is "an ode to the scene". Once again it is a no-nonsense production, just a basic drum computer rhythm, some synth augmentation and a passive/aggressive sort of sweary vocal. Somehow that all combines into making something rather fun to listen to - a case of minimal music making maximum impact. Play it once and it will stick.
