The indie-folk duo are sisters Kaitlin and Marissa Sevy and their sound blends Kaitlin’s soulful vocals and guitar work with Marissa’s rich harmonies. Their songwriting tackles love, friendship, self-deception and finding hope amid chaos, all delivered with plenty of lyrical honesty and emotional punch.
'Star Stuff' showcases this approach to great effect with a catchy, enjoyable tune concentrated around strumming guitar, and the sister's voices, which have a very light twang of country. Fresh and zesty with a tinge of the blues, just like the cover - the song is pleasing on the ear and leaves you wanting to hear more.
