Paris-based act mirabelle. have a new tune out called 'Back On Your Feet' - a song about "helping someone rebuild". The piece is very much an American feeling pop-punk tune - full of boisterous vocals and teenage energy. It is a slight pity that the band don't sing in their native French language or at least without the American accents, but I suppose that comes from wanting to appeal to a global audience.
My favourite moment arrives near the finish, when someone yells “shut up!” and the guitars veer into something a little more chaotic and improvised - and yes, noisy. At times the production is a little messy, but this is 100% DIY and it does sound like the band are having a blinking good time.
